Ola Gen-3 scooter prices leaked
Ola Electric is poised to unveil its Gen 3 series of electric scooters tomorrow, following an initial teaser of the platform in the middle of last year.
Currently, specific details regarding this new generation of Ola e-scooters remain limited. However, it is anticipated that these models will be significantly more efficient, advanced, and lighter compared to their predecessors. The company seems to have enhanced the battery design by consolidating the motor, battery, and electronics into a single unit. A teaser image revealed an aluminum frame, and it will be intriguing to see if this feature is included in the final production model. If so, the Gen 3 battery will serve as a structural component.
Ola has also announced a reduction in the number of processors, decreasing from 10 in Gen 1 and four in Gen 2 to a single processor for the Gen 3 platform. This change is expected to simplify the wiring setup and reduce complexity through the updated architecture.
In terms of features, the Gen 3 lineup will retain some elements from the existing model while introducing a new and enhanced TFT display. The software driving this system is likely to undergo significant updates. Although ADAS features have been hinted at, their implementation is not expected in the immediate future.
The entry-level model, the S1 X 2kWh, will be priced at Rs. 79,999, while the top-tier option, the S1 Pro, will cost Rs. 1.59 lakh (ex-showroom). The 4kWh and 3kWh variants will be available at Rs. 1.5 lakh and Rs. 1.29 lakh, respectively.
